Accreditation German Actuary Society
The International Congress on Insurance: Mathematics and Economics is acknowledged as actuarial education (16 hours) by the German Actuarial Association (DAV), see here. At the conference and especially at the DGVFM workshop (see below), we will provide lists to claim the DAV education points (if you have a DAV membership number, you will have to add this on this list).
DGVFM-Session
The German Society for Actuarial and Financial Mathematics (DGVFM, www.dgvfm.de) coordinates the mathematical research activities in Germany that are related to applications in the insurance business.
It is the academic twin of the German society of actuaries (DAV), participates in the development of educational standards for actuaries, is responsible for research and transfer to the industry, attracts students to the field of actuarial sciences and helps young researchers to build up their academic network.
The section particularly aims at giving young and promising German researchers the opportunity to present their research at an international top conference, but also to let established researchers from academia and industry present actuarial research. It would be nice to highlight a particular German aspect (such as e.g. chance-risk classification of pension products or research related to the German private or public health insurance ) which is interesting for the international community, but this is not a necessary ingredient.
Researchers interested to present in the framework of this workshop should contact Ralf Korn (korn(at)mathematik.uni-kl.de) who coordinates this session. The intended time slot of the session is Thursday, July 11, 14:00-17:20.
Of course, the regular fees and registration procedure for the conference apply to the DGVFM-Session, too.
