Michael Ulbrich will hold the office of Editor-in-Chief until the end of 2023 together with the previous Editor-in-Chief Nikolaos Sahinidis, professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta (USA). From January 1, 2024, he will assume his role alone.
About Prof. Michael Ulbrich
The research of Michael Ulbrich centers on nonlinear optimization and optimal control. He is particularly interested in the development and analysis of efficient algorithms for solving challenging large-scale nonlinear optimization problems.
Since 2022, he serves as the Head of the Department of Mathematics at the TUM School of Computation, Information and Technology and is a member of the School Council. He is also associate editor of several leading journals, including the SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing and Mathematical Programming Computation.
